On 29th April 2024, an ICSSR sponsored Workshop on “Usage of Generic Medicines: Issues and Relevance for Quality Health Care Services” was jointly organized by Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya and Centre for Distance Education, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong. Dr. B.P. Sahu, one of the Renown Professor and Head of the Department of Adult and Continuing Education, NEHU as Guest of Honour of the Workshop. Prof. B.P. Sahu, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong delivered the welcome speech with insightful thought on the significance of the workshop. Dr. Subrata Sen highlighted the background of the Workshop. Prof. Animesh Mishra, Head of the Department of Cardiology, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong delivered his Inaugural Speech with various insightful thoughts. Mr. Jyotiprasad Chutia, Vice-Chairman of Chutia Development Council, Government of Assam delivered his valuable speech as a Keynote speaker. Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya, Prof. G. Singaiah delivered his valuable speech on this auspicious programme as the Chief Guest of the Workshop. The esteemed resource persons conducted the technical session of the Workshop on "Usage of Generic Medicines: Issues and Relevance for Quality Health Care Services". At Last, Miss Adhiti Sinha, Research Associate delivered the Vote of thanks of the Workshop.
