Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya today witnessed an inspiring congregation of youth and educators as it hosted the Viksit Bharat @2047 Yuva Sankalp programme under the nationwide Seva Pakhwada initiative. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 220 students, in the august presence of distinguished dignitaries, fostering an atmosphere imbued with patriotism and a profound sense of civic responsibility.

The proceedings commenced with the ceremonial lighting of diyas, symbolizing enlightenment, hope, and collective resolve. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem and the University Anthem, instilling a sense of unity and pride among the participants.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. G. Singaiah, addressed the gathering, elaborating on the Viksit Bharat initiative and its role in nurturing youth leadership and promoting responsible citizenship. His reflections emphasized the significance of youth engagement in realizing the nation’s developmental goals and inspired the participants to contribute proactively to the vision of a progressive India.

Youth Ambassador Ms. Muskaan Begum of Furkating College, Golaghat then delivered an engaging presentation on Viksit Bharat, articulating the vision of a developed India through inclusive growth and civic responsibility. She was joined by Kiran Borah of Furkating College, who further enriched the discourse. Her presentation was complemented by contributions from student presenters, who articulated the significance of the initiative and shared insights from their own understanding.

A highlight of the programme was the screening of the Viksit Bharat video and anthem, which offered participants a deeper understanding of the initiative’s objectives and ideals. This was followed by a solemn collective oath, reaffirming the commitment of students to actively contribute to India’s developmental journey.

The interactive question-and-answer session that ensued allowed students to engage with the presenters, clarify their doubts, and reflect critically on the nation’s developmental vision. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the students were indicative of their dedication and eagerness to be active participants in shaping the future of the country.

The programme was graced by the presence of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar, and the Academic Registrar, whose guidance and support were integral to the success of the event. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr. Antora Borah, Coordinator of the NSS Cell, expressing gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Regional NSS Directorate, University leadership, and all participants for their invaluable contributions.
