On 07/03/2025, the National Science Day was organized in Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya (BSSRV) Golaghat in association with the Institute innovation council (IIC), of BSSRV. The occasion was graced by  Shri Mrinal Saikia, MLA 106 Khumtai Legislative Assembly Constituency. On this auspicious occasion, Prof. G Singaiah, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of BSSRV delivered a speech illustrating the need for spreading a scientific temperament at all levels of society. As a keynote speaker, Dr. Manash R Das, Principal Scientist and Associate Professor of CSIR NEIST, Jorhat shed light on the history of National Science Day. He also mentioned various programmes suitable for students pursuing their education from school to university level that are alligned with the Government's mission of Vikshit Bharat. Science model exhibition and science poster making competition were also organized in conjunction with the event.

Various Participants across the Golaghat District have joined the event. Students from Girls Polytechnic, ITI, GEC, Numuligarh Delhi Public School and from other various institutions have showcased their models and innovations.

In line with the Science exhibition programme, various Self help groups, entrepreneurs from Golaghat district and agricultural based entrepreneurs from Shillong and Tura of Meghalaya state have exhibited their products. Also, Incubation Centre of NEHU, Tura Campus has joined the event.
