The Women Support Cell of Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya in collaboration with IQAC, BSSRV; Department of Economics and Department of Political Science, BSSRV organised the celebration of International Women's Day 2024 on 12th March, 2024 in the university campus. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof Ajanta Borgohain Rajkunwar inaugurates the programme by lighting the lamp. Dr. Antora Borah, Member Secretary of Women Support Cell, BSSRV welcomed everyone to the programme on behalf of the organising committee. Prof. Ajanta Borgohain emphasized on role of women in decision making and technical education of women folk in the society for accelerating progress among them. She also highlighted about university's role in grassroots level mobilization for promoting growth among women.
The resource person Mrs. Barnali Saikia Borah, Member, Assam State Women Commission had highlighted about various government schemes and provisions to empower women. She urges everyone to be the stakeholder in empowerment of women especially BY providing social and economic security. The students of the university also performed various cultural activities in front of the august gathering. On the occasion, the organizing committee also organized elocution and essay competition among students of BSSRV. Finally, Dr.Debabhuson Borah, Co-ordinator, IQAC, BSSRV had delivered the vote of thanks.
