As part of the 6th National Social Work Week 2025, the Department of Social Work, BSSRV, organized a Blood Donation Campaign on 20th August 2025 in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), BSSRV, and in association with the National Association of Professional Social Workers in India (NAPSWI) and the Indian Red Cross Society, Golaghat District Branch. The program was inaugurated in the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. G. Singaiah, whose encouragement and words of inspiration motivated the gathering. The Department was also honored to have Dr. Devojit Phukan, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Golaghat District Branch, grace the occasion and extend his support. The camp was conducted smoothly with the dedicated assistance of the medical team from KK Civil Hospital, Golaghat, together with members of the Indian Red Cross Society. A total of 25 donors, including students, faculty members, and staff, voluntarily donated blood, reflecting their compassion and commitment to social responsibility. The campaign not only achieved its immediate objective but also spread the vital message “Donate Blood, Save a Life.” It reinforced the values of humanity, solidarity, and service that the Department of Social Work, in collaboration with NSS, continues to uphold.
