Placement cells organize career-oriented activities like resume writing, building workshops, mock interviews, job fairs, and career counseling sessions. These activities help students prepare for the workforce, identify their career objectives, and develop strategies to achieve them.
Key Functions of a Placement Cell:
Training & Skill Development: Organize resume-writing workshops, mock interviews, and aptitude tests.Provide soft skills training (communication, teamwork, etc.) and technical skills enhancement.
Internships & Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs): Help students find internships that often lead to full-time job offers.Facilitate PPOs for students performing well during their internships.
Career Guidance: POffer counseling sessions to help students identify their strengths and career goals.Provide access to career fairs and job portals.
Alumni Network: Use alumni connections for referrals, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
